A few minutes on the ferry from Central Station to Buiksloterweg and you can walk straight into the Tolhuituin. A special venue. Until a few years ago the staff of the Royal Shell came here to eat their lunch. This striking construction, with a wonderful view of the river IJ, was given a cultural function. The canteen became a contemporary restaurant concept where you can eat small – sometimes exotic – dishes from a global kitchen. Vegans and vegetarians have a wide array of choices, but for those who prefer it otherwise, they also offer delicious (sustainable) fish and meat dishes. The kitchen of THT seeks out local and seasonal products. Great for sharing are the lunch plates which contain a mix of their best bites. Also, the THT for 2 dinner is a guaranteed ticket to culinary paradise. It is so centrally located in Amsterdam Noord that it is also the perfect stopover on your way to an exhibition, concert, or film in the EYE.
