Just outside the hustle and bustle of the city, but within cycling distance of everything there is to do. If that sounds like you, you can go to Camping Vliegenbos. The Vliegenbos is a unique area of 25 hectares, between Amsterdam Center and the rustic Waterland with its nice villages. You are in the middle of the forest, with all sanitary facilities at hand, including a launderette. And a restaurant, shop, and bakery. For comfort, there is a covered kitchen with a cozy campfire place for long summer evenings and nice conversations with other tourists. You can stay in your camper, caravan, or tent, and even in a hiker’s cabin or group accommodation. And with a fifteen-minute walk, you are on the ferry to Amsterdam Center.
