This eye-catcher on the shores of the river IJ in Amsterdam Noord is not to be missed. It eyes futuristic and spectacular: the Eye Film Museum. And it is! Ever since its completion in 2012, it became an iconic landmark of the IJ, and the interior is at least as noteworthy.
Movie buffs can not only feast their eyes on particular viewings, but they can also brush up their movie knowledge at the permanent presentation in the museum, traveling from the first film strips right through the technical developments of film. From set photographs of famous movies to a collection of cinematographic equipment. Besides that, the Eye Film Museum also owns a collection of more than 47 thousand (!) unique film posters. They regularly change the posters on display and they have world-class temporary expositions. Do check the agenda!
