Whatever the month, there is always plenty going on in Amsterdam to keep you entertained. Here are our highlights of upcoming events in Amsterdam Noord in 2024 that you don’t want to miss.

Tolhuistuin: Repair Events
11th february 13:00 – 16:00 uur

Do you have a pair of jeans that you love but can’t wear due to a hole in a not-so-subtle area? Well, you can bring your broken clothing and appliances to the Repair Event in the Tolhuistuin. You will then learn together with a repairman how to repair it or even make it more beautiful (upcycling).
We have different materials available; there are sewing machines, toolboxes, embroidery sets and the like available. This way you can finally repair that hole in your pants, light up that nice lamp again, or pimp that dusty blouse… You name it!

‘T Zonnehuis – Glasser
15 february | Doors open 19:30, Main Programme 20:30

Glasser’s (Cameron Mesirow) electronic music combines dreamy experimental pop and layered, enchanting electronica with personal identity, emotional vulnerability and the human experience as important themes within her music.

Her third album ‘Crux’ marks a return following her critically acclaimed ‘Sextape’ mix in 2018 and two well-received albums, ‘Ring’ and ‘Interiors’, released in 2010 and 2013 respectively.

She has toured with the XX and Sigur Rós’ Jónsi and performed at places like New York’s MoMA, Coachella and Primavera. She has also collaborated on remix projects with artists such as Fever Ray, Jamie XX and John Talabot.

Tolhuistuin – Pierce Brothers
23 february | Doors open 19:00, Main Programme 19:30

Twin brothers Jack and Patrick Pierce from Melbourne make indie folk that also contains elements of roots and blues. The brothers appear on stage with a lot of energy to perform their songs, which are often about personal experiences. The Australians have been making a name for themselves since 2014 and, like Tash Sultana, started on Bourke Street in Melbourne. From there, their audience grew with them. The Pierce Brothers have several albums to their name, worked with Garrett Kato and Steph Strings, served as a support act for Tash Sultana and toured the world with their music. The single ‘High & Unsteady’ was recently released. The Pierce Brothers return to Amsterdam in the Tolhuistuin on February 23.
